Role of the Selection Panel 

The Selection Panel consists of invited-only investors, experts and advisors in the relevant tracks who will be participating actively in the selection of the best 30 start-ups to present. Members are expected to provide nothing but their time and expertise in the process by: 

 

• Participating in 2 Selection Panel Calls for meeting and final selection of the companies (31st August & 28th September); ​
• Nominating relevant companies and encouraging them to apply;
• Screening and reviewing companies (up to 10) through Tech Tour Platform based on predetermined criteria (Tech Tour will provide instructions)​*

Criteria for reviewing and evaluating applied companies: 

1. Business Potential - The potential market of customers for the presented product is attractive and the business model is strong.
2. Team Experience - Company team has skills and experience to grow the business and is able/willing to work with industry & research.
3. Product/Technology Merit - Technology or product solutions developed are state-of-the-art and well advanced compared to the competitors.
4. Competitive Position - The company is well positioned in the market in comparison with its competitors.
5. Investment/Partnering Interest - The demand/offer to invest in or partner with the company is well defined and potentially attractive for partners.
6. Project Profile Quality - Information available from the company profile sheet is complete, clear, balanced and convincing.
