Tech Tour today announces the 40 healthtech companies being showcased at the Tech Tour 2017 Healthtech Summit and chosen to present their businesses to a group of international investors, VCs, corporate partners and business angels at the SwissTech Convention Centre and Biopôle in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This year’s 40 presenting companies were chosen from over 250 nominations and 130 applications. They come from 14 different countries and are engaged in sectors including genomics and sequencing, wearables, telemedicine, digital medical devices, population health, big data and analytics, cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, and robotics.

A dedicated Selection Committee of leading international investors, senior business leaders, and representatives from the healthcare conducted a rigorous review process to identify the 40 presenting the companies were judged on the uniqueness of their technology, the strength of their business model, vision, capability to execute on their business plan, and the quality and track record of their management.

Pierre Chauvineau, Vice President of Boston Scientific, heads this year’s edition as Summit President and says, “This year’s Summit is happening at a time when many insiders are commenting that digital health is at an ‘inflection point’. During our discussions with the Selection Committee it was obvious that the lines between medtech and digital health are blurring. Healthcare is finally embracing digital health solutions in the mainstream and it is likely that the winners and losers of tomorrow will be decided around these concepts.
