Conditions for participation

Only the companies which registered in the Tech Tour Space 2021 programme, both Catalan and non-Catalan, can access the Catalonia Prize. Interested companies must fill in the Catalonia Prize form in order to be eligible once having registered for the Tech Tour Space 2021 programme, before October 29th 2021.

Business Development Plan

The award is subject to the presentation of a business development plan linked to the eventual transfer of the headquarters or creation of a workplace in Catalonia. The personnel of the workplace must be associated to R&D or innovation activities.
 
The submission of the plan must be submitted before October 29th 2021.
 
 

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

The five entities that are part of the Catalonia Prize Jury Panel will assess the items of the Business Development Plan of all the applying companies.

  • For Catalan companies, item 1 is just informative, and only items 2, 3, 4 will be assessed, with the support of item 5 (complementary information attached).
  • For non-Catalan companies, items 1, 2 and 3 will be assessed, with the support of item 4 (complementary information attached).

 

Each of the 3 assessable items will be punctuated from 1 (low) to 5 (high), considering feasibility, strategic interest and credibility. In case that an item does not have an answer or that the answer does not meet the asked requirements, the assigned punctuation will be a 1.

 

The punctuation of the Business Development Plan of each company will be obtained averaging the punctuations of the 3 assessable items of the 5 entities of the Jury Panel. Afterwards, the final mark to be considered in the ranking will be obtained averaging the final punctuation of the Business Development Plan and the Selection Committee mark.

 

Once the punctuation ranking is defined, the Jury Panel will determine the number of companies which will have to defend the implementation or consolidation project orally. The selected companies will be informed on November 11th 2021 and their confirmation will be required before November 15th 2021 at 17.00 CET.

 

On November 24th 2021, the finalist companies will have a 5-minute-slot to defend their project orally, and 10 additional minutes to answer the questions from the Jury Panel. Then, the jury will have a deliberative session to choose the winning project of the Catalonia Prize 2021.

 

On November 25th 2021, the company awarded with the Catalonia Prize 2021 will be announced, and the company will need to confirm the acceptance of the Prize on the same day.
