The second edition of the South East Europe Tech Tour 2019 took place on 28-29 May in Bucharest, Romania and Sofia, Bulgaria.

As in 2018, this year we embarked on a Discovery Tour to a region that has great potential for high-tech entrepreneurship. We were very excited to showcase a region on the radar for many. The region of Eastern Europe is realizing one of the highest economic growth and also is a hotspot for thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems that have generated $5 billion in liquidity back to investors in the past few years.

The objectives of the Tech Tour were to:

1. Identify the next wave of top privately held companies from the South East Europe Countries.
2. Promote investment and partnering by introducing a delegation of international investors and top European entrepreneurs to the key players in the region.

3. Sector and stage scope of companies - 30 selected 'expansion' tech ventures active in Deeptech, Mobility, Blockchain, Fintech, Energy, Agritech.

The South East Europe Tech Tour 2019 promoted innovation and investment into the best technology companies from across Europe and is your chance to connect with VCs, entrepreneurs, industry experts and thought leaders to foster new connections, business and investment.
