Overview  

 

The Deep Tech Summit, an initiative of the Tech Tour and the  International Venture Club, will take place on 17-18 October 2017 and will focus on showcasing the best investment opportunities within the digital industry in Europe. On 17 October, investors and corporates are invited to join the Investor Roundtable Program.

 

The agenda will include 25 deep tech growth company presentations by CEOs, discussion panels, keynotes and top level networking including a networking dinner of 200 guests on 17 October. These will represent the "who's who" of the Deep Tech and Venture Capital market including: 

  • 25 of Europe’s most promising growth companies (scale ups, not start-ups) nominated and selected from a list of 200 candidates from across the European Continent 
  • 50 to 70 of the most active specialised venture capital and private equity investors
  • 30 to 50 corporate venturing or innovation leaders of large industrial organisations and technology corporation

Prof. Jürgen Schmidhuber, the guru of the Artificial Intelligence with a keynote speech on 17 October 

 

                                  

Tech Tour is pleased to announce the presence of Prof. Jürgen Schmidhuber as an esteemed keynote speaker of the Summit on 17 October. His students started Deepmind that was acquired by Google for $600mln. Prof. Schmidhüber has greatly influenced modern Artificial Intelligence. His lab's deep learning methods have revolutionized machine learning and AI, and are now available to billions of users through Google (e.g., greatly improved Google Voice & Google Translate), Apple, Microsoft, IBM, Baidu, Amazon, and many other companies. His research group also established the field of mathematically rigorous universal AI and optimal universal problem solvers. His formal theory of creativity & curiosity & fun explains art, science, music, and humor. He is recipient of numerous awards including the 2016 IEEE Neural Networks Pioneer Award "for pioneering contributions to deep learning and neural networks," and president of the company NNAISENSE, which aims at building the first practical general purpose AI.
