Overview

The CEVC 2011 Semi-Final Luxembourg is set around a series of 6 company presentation sessions where the entrepreneurs can demonstrate to an audience of experienced industry professionals just how their innovative products will grow to become high end marketable products over the coming years. The format also includes high-profile keynote speeches, a networking lunch and a one-to-one meeting stream which provides the entrepreneurs the chance to set up business development meetings with investors of their choice.

The Civica European Venture Contest Semi-Final:
• Finds, evaluates and awards world-class innovative companies with the potential to dramatically impact their industry and contribute to increasing European competitiveness and growth.

• Accelerates the growth of young innovative companies by providing access to top-level international partners, advisors and financiers.

• Supports the global leaders of tomorrow at an early stage by updating the skill set they will need to grow and expand their businesses successfully.

At the CEVC 2011 Semi-Final Luxembourg, experts will select the Top 25% most promising high-tech companies which together with the Top 25% of each qualifying event will compete to be part of the TOP25. In 2010, the TOP25 companies competed at the Civica European Venture Contest in Barcelona and the winner from each stream (ICT, Life Science, Cleantech) received recognition as one of the most innovative companies at an international level and was awarded with a prize of 30.000 Euros.

* In 2011, at least 10 semi-finals of the European Venture Contest will be organized.
