Overview

The Swedish Tech Tour 2005

This was the 19th edition of the Tech Tour and its second visit to Sweden since 1999. The tour visited Stockholm and the nordic regions to showcase Sweden's rich culture of technology and innovation. Sweden has been ranked as having the best innovation climate among all EU nations, the U.S. and Japan, according to the EU Commission's. The Swedish Tech Tour highlighted this enormous potential and depth during its unique 48 hours tour across the country.

Participation was limited to 70 privately invited international professionals featuring a broad spectrum of senior representatives from VC funds, leading corporations and institutional investors. The tour provided delegates with the opportunity to meet 25 of Sweden’s most promising technology companies for potential investments, partnerships or M&A activities. Furthermore, the agenda included interactions and meetings with a range of key figures from various disciplines – venture capital, corporate, entrepreneurs and academia.

Objectives

To identify the upcoming and leading top 25+ high-growth privately held technology companies in Sweden and to introduce them to key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion.

For delegates, the Tech Tour is a unique platform to gain first-hand knowledge of a selection of Sweden's most advanced and innovative high-technology companies looking to expand globally.

For presenting companies, the Tech Tour presents a unique platform to introduce their companies to a group of 60+ high level professionals and executives.
