David del Val holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MSc from Stanford University. While at Stanford, he co-founded VXtreme Inc, a pioneer in streaming media technologies that in 1997 was acquired by Microsoft to create Windows Media. He holds 16 patents and is now VP of Technology of TechFoundries, one of the 8 companies he has co-founded. He also teaches Entrepreneurship at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
