English was the lingua franca of the Israel Venture Association's high-tech conference which opened yesterday at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv. Last year, when the security situation kept foreign visitors away, the conference was conducted entirely in Hebrew. But yesterday, reflecting the turnaround in the venture capital sector, English was back on top, with some 150 visitors out of the 650 participants arriving from overseas.
