The Indian Tech Tour 2006
|
|
For its 23rd edition, the Tech Tour visited India for the first time and showcased its rich culture of technology and
innovation. The Indian Tech Tour was co-organized with TiE UK and TiE Asia. The Indian Tech Tour highlighted this enormous potential and depth during its unique three-day tour across the country.
Participation was limited to 60 privately invited international professionals featuring a
broad spectrum of senior representatives from VC funds, leading corporations and institutional investors. The Indian Tech Tour met a double agenda, first to showcase 20+ of India's most promising technology companies for potential investment or partnership and for the delegates to extend their local network in India.
Secondly, to discover India as a innovation country and learn how to do business in India. Furthermore, the agenda included interactions and meetings with a range of key figures from various disciplines – venture capital, corporate, entrepreneurs and academia.
To identify the upcoming and leading top 20+ high-growth privately held technology companies in India and to introduce them to key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion.
For delegates, the Tech Tour is a unique platform to gain first-hand knowledge of a selection of India's most advanced and innovative high-technology companies looking to expand globally as well as visiting the key high tech centers in India and learning about the business environment.
For presenting companies, the Tech Tour presents a unique platform to introduce their companies to a group of 60+ high level professionals and executives.
