Overview

The German Tech Tour 2005

Welcome to the German Tech Tour. For its 18th edition, the Tech Tour visited Germany and showcased its rich culture of technology and innovation. The German Tech Tour highlighted this enormous potential and depth during its unique two-day tour across the country.

Participation was limited to 60 privately invited international professionals featuring a broad spectrum of senior representatives from VC funds, leading corporations and institutional investors. The tour provided delegates with the opportunity to meet 25+ of Germany’s most promising technology companies for potential investments, partnerships or M&A activities. Furthermore, the agenda included interactions and meetings with a range of key figures from various disciplines – venture capital, corporate, entrepreneurs and academia.

Quotes from the Industrial Board & the Selection Committee:

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer: "The German Tech Tour supports and encourages innovative companies to realise their potential and open new markets. The Tour offers companies a network of experienced, international investors and leading corporates, which is probably unique in this form."

Paul Jozefak , SAP Ventures: "The German Tech Tour is in my opinion a premier event which will showcase the extent and quality of start-up opportunities in Germany. It is a great opportunity to get significant insight into this market in the course of three intensive and extensive days."

Objectives

To identify the upcoming and leading top 25+ high-growth privately held technology companies in Germany and to introduce them to key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion.

For delegates, the Tech Tour is a unique platform to gain first-hand knowledge of a selection of Germany's most advanced and innovative high-technology companies looking to expand globally.

For presenting companies, the Tech Tour presents a unique platform to introduce their companies to a group of 60+ high level professionals and executives.
