The English Tech Tour 04

Welcome to the English Tech Tour. For its 15th edition, the Tech Tour visited England and showcased its rich culture of technology and innovation. With her historic pedigree of scientific discovery and enterprise creation, England has entered the 21st century with strong credentials for building world class, global technology companies. Universities, private sector research labs and regional development agencies together with a mature venture capital sector and a growing pool of qualified, entrepreneurial managers place England at the forefront of Europe’s technology scene. Last year, England attracted nearly half of all venture capital investment made in Europe. The English Tech Tour highlighted this enormous potential and depth during its unique two-day tour across the country.

Participation was limited to 65 privately invited international professionals featuring a broad spectrum of senior representatives from VC funds, leading corporations and institutional investors. The tour provided delegates with the opportunity to meet 24 of England’s most promising technology companies for potential investments, partnerships or M&A activities. Furthermore, the agenda included interactions and meetings with a range of key figures from various disciplines – venture capital, corporate, entrepreneurs and academia.

Objectives

To identify the upcoming and leading top 25+ high-growth privately held technology companies in England and to introduce them to key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion.

For delegates, the Tech Tour is a unique platform to gain first-hand knowledge of a selection of England's most advanced high-technology companies.

We are inviting young, innovative and ambitious English companies looking to expand globally to take advantage of the presence of industry leaders and investors.
