Overview

The Cleantech Summit 2009

The European Tech Tour Association held its first Cleantech Summit on June 17-18, 2009 with 150 delegates and 23 presenting CEOs.

After 8 years of successful region-based Tech Tours, The European Tech Tour Association launched the 1st Summit in 2006 in a series of vertical events that gathers the best emerging European companies in a given industry sector. This initiative sprouted from the need to identify and showcase European technology start-ups in a vertical industry segment to professionals investing or working within this industry. As for regional Tech Tours, the event is organised by leading investors, corporates and entrepreneurs of the trade, with the goal to organise the best event for their specific country, within the framework of the not-for-profit association.

After events focusing on semiconductors, web and internet start-ups, and more recently Medical technologies companies, the Association has, following demand from participants, decided to organise the first Cleantech Summit.

Objectives

To identify the upcoming and leading top 25+ high-growth privately held cleantech companies in Europe and to introduce them to key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion.
